Life’s Adventures

Life is filled with adventures.

Work, recreational, friend & family adventures. Every moment in my life I consider an adventure.

How are you living your life?

“The key to happiness is letting each situation be what it is instead of what you think it should be.” #BeYou

Live your life by design

and not by your diagnosis.
I don’t let my diagnosis of MS define me or stop me. It might make me rework my plans a bit but I will never give up on living my best life because of my diagnosis.

I thank myself daily.

“One day you will thank yourself for making the decision that set you free.”

This has more than one meaning to me and if you think about it, it might have several for you as well.

1. I thank myself daily for pushing for my college education and ultimately ending up with a Masters Degree. Not all farmers daughters make it to college and pay for it themselves (eventually).

2. I thank myself daily for being committed to lead by example for my daughter. To show her what strong looks like, it isn’t what you think. Strong is showing your emotions, strong is being vulnerable, strong is standing up for what you believe in and picking your battles. Strong is everything.

3. I thank myself for having the strength to finally live as my authentically true self. To be completely me and to do so unapologetically. #BeYou

4. I thank myself daily that I chose to harness my own motivation and inspiration and to learn new habits for my health, harness my emotions and become a happier, healthier me.

Sitting on a ledge

One of the best adventures was taking the leap and letting the Universe lead me. Letting things simply fall into place and take the path laid out in front of me. Don’t fight your heart, follow it.

Learn new things about yourself, feel vulnerable and accept complete and utter change. You don’t find new things in your comfort zone. Follow the feeling inside and it just may lead you to the greatest adventure of all time. In my case, it was my #PuzzlePiece. The one that completes me. I am terrified of heights but with her by myself I can sit on a ledge all day long and talk about nothing at all.
