Raising awareness for MS
never stops. I share my story every single day. [Previous Blog: What inspired me to change and grow]
“March is Multiple Sclerosis awareness month, a time for sufferers, family members, and supporters to share information, sympathy, and camaraderie, drawing attention to this disease of the central nervous system. If you’re not familiar, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) happens when one’s immune system attacks the nerve cells and renders them unable to properly transmit information, causing balance issues, weakened vision, fatigue, and other unpredictable symptoms. Approximately 2.5 million people worldwide suffer from multiple sclerosis. The cause is unknown, and there is no definitive cure as of this writing. However, there are many effective treatments, so those afflicted with MS should not lose hope.
This month is all about raising awareness, educating wider society, fundraising, and getting behind those scientists that seek to advance our understanding of MS. So help spread awareness and contribute to research that will someday provide a cure by doing what you love....running or walking!
All donations will go directly to Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA).”

With that shared, it's a New Year and a new opportunity for me to build MS awareness. I won't stop sharing my story and telling the world how MS has changed my life, forever.
We are looking for a cure and I would love your help in doing so. Please join my virtual MS awareness run/walk team: SarahStrong
Walk or run a 5k between March 1 and March 31st and help raise awareness and funds for @MSAA. Get a medal and a t-shirt to show your participation.
You can also donate to the cause as well or instead using this link: https://runsignup.com/Race/103136/Donate/XR60p65EuvALPg4j
I do this for me and the 1000s with MS that can't anymore. This disease is painful in so many ways and I am blessed to have mine "under control" enough to be unaided in walking and able to hike, climb and walk. So I celebrate my ability and ask you to join me. Team Name to search for: SarahStrong - direct link: https://runsignup.com/Race/Register/RaceGroup-1236399?raceId=103136
It’s virtual so we don’t have to be together to run together and raise awareness. Take pictures and share on the day in March you run / walk! Mention me and use #SarahStrong #CureMS
